Databases compiled by James Ogg and numerous contributing colleagues.

This Version $TSC_VERSION of our time-scale chart maker has calibrated all ages to A Concise Geologic Time Scale 2016 (Ogg, Ogg & Gradstein, 2016, Elsevier).

A listing of sources and references for these compilations is provided as a separate download, and is briefly indicated when each column is highlighted in the Choose Zonations menu. We are continuously working to incorporate other stratigraphic columns, so please check back soon for enhanced Versions. We would greatly appreciate your comments and suggestions on both the visualization software and on improving/enhancing the default time-scale databases. Send comments to Jim Ogg; Purdue University, USA; jogg@purdue.edu).

Usage and citation of TSC produced charts

Can I use figures and charts produced with TS-Creator in publications?
Yes, absolutely! Please either include a sentence of the following kind in each caption:

Figure produced with $TSC_PROGNAME (https://engineering.purdue.edu/Stratigraphy/tscreator)

or - even better - reference TSCreator using (many journals allows URLs as references):
